I do not have any tattoos yet, but I am considering several. This is one of my favorites. The line work could be cleaner, and some color would look good. Though overall I like it. Knowing my love for bats, I decided to make my first tattoo a bat one. I have several designs in mind, this is only one. I have also not decided where to put my bat. I may putt one by itself or do several as part of a larger piece, I have time to decide. I will post a picture when I finally do it.

Our Pets - Part 3
The final installment of my pet series. This is Nevil, I have shown his picture before, but I did not want to leave him out. We named him after Nevil from the Harry Potter books. Can you tell we like Harry Potter? He is very hard to photograph. He moves constantly. I asked him to stand still, but he would not. James finally had to hold him. Even that really does not work.
I took many pictures of Nevil. This is the best I could publish. The rest were either blurry or he had moved by the time the shutter opened. He will not stay still! We bought him at Pet Kingdom USA in Las Vegas in December of 2002. We had just bought a new car and we test drove it to Vegas that day. We decided to buy him on the way back.

Our Pets - Part 2
This is Floyd. We usually call him Baby. We do this because he is and will always be our baby! James found Floyd outside of our bedroom window huddled in a ball with his brothers and sisters when they were newborns. We took them in and bottle fed them. We decided to keep one, the most spirited and gave the rest up for adoption to good homes. He was so small he could curl up in the palm of my hand. Floyd is a long haired tabby and the softest cat I have every seen. We found him in August 2003, he was no more than a month old. He will be four this July.
I had a hard time getting pictures of Floyd. He did not like the flash. One of Floyds best tricks is that he loves to play fetch. Any crinkly plastic toy, or fur covered toy mouse will do. If Floyd is in the mood, he will bring it to James or I and drop it in front of us. Then it is understood that that is our cue to throw it for him. He loves to chase the toy and bring it back. This continues until one of us gets tired (usually me!).

Our Pets - Part One
I'm going to do a few posts and introduce you to our pets. They are an important part of our lives. We care for them and they care for us (when they feel like it!). Four cats live in our house. We claim three and one has adopted James' mother. These two are ours. The black cat is Odin and the large cat is Maximus, we call him Max for short.
This is Maximus. We adopted him from a shelter. When we got him, he was very skinny. We named him Maximus because I liked the name. Who would have guessed he would grow into the name. He now weighs close to 20 pounds. We estimate he is about 6 yrears old. He always eats and is terrified when the food dish is empty.
This is Odin. We named him after the King of the Norse Gods. We just liked the name. We adopted him from the same shelter as Max, the next day! He was in the cage above Max and did not want to leave him. He is very quiet and reserved, but the most affectionate cat I have ever seen. He loves attention. We estimate he is also about 6 years old.
This is Myrtle. She is new to the family. She showed up at the back door a few months ago. James was opening a can of cat food and she heard; the moaning outside the back door was deafening. She is loud! So we named her Myrtle after Moaning Myrtle in the Harry Potter books. She has adopted James' mother and spends a lot of time with her. She is a sweet cat and we all love her.

Vegas - Part 2
After we arrived in town, we had a couple of hours to kill. So, we decided to go to one of our favorite Las Vegas hangouts! That's right a pet store. But not just any pet store. You can buy almost any kind of animal here. Monkeys, Bush Babys, Hedgehogs, and yes even Ferrets. It just so happens this is were we bought our ferret, Nevil. Most of these animals can not be purchased in California, so we went to Vegas.
On the way home, we stopped at Buffalo Bills in Primm (Stateline). We were all hungry, as it had been a long day. Buffalo Bills has a log ride that runs through the property. James says they give you a light gun and you can shoot at these things as you go along. We did not find out because the water was drained for cleaning.
