Hey!

It's been a while and I do apoligize. Thought I would tell you that today was the hottest day so far this year. It topped out at 112^ today, ouch!! We are good, still taking classes at Barstow College. I am taking one class this summer, a world history class (and PE, I love PE) We are moving at the end of this month, I will let you all know the details when we have our new place. I figure one more year here in Barstow then off to a four year college somewhere north (I can't take the heat anymore!) I want to get my BSN (Bachelor's of Science in Nursing), I am looking at the University of Reno, Humbolt State, Chico State, and a few others in Northern California. I can start applying in the fall. I found a new band I am really into called Litmus Green, they are a punk band from So. CA. They broke up a few years ago, but they are really good. Keep in touch and I'll try to do the same!

Summer Blooms

This is a Spanish Broom. It is one of the few plants that does well here in the desert. It blooms once a year and smells spectacular. We have two of them, one in the front and one in the back. Their fragrance can be smelt throughout both yards. We bought them small, and now look how big they are!

Mrs. Jones

This is Mrs. Jones. She belonged to the neighbor across the street who moved and could not take her with him. We call her that because she likes to stay in the bathroom. I remember my Granma Rose used to always say she was going to visit Mrs. Jones when she went to the bathroom, so we thought it fit! p.s. yes that is HER bear, it came with her and nobody else better touch it!

January 4 my Aunt Laura and Uncle Gordon paid us a visit as they traveled through Barstow. We had a nice lunch at the Country Kitchen. Our time was too short but it was so nice to see each other. I miss them already!

Obama's Acceptance Speech

This man really inspires me. It's 45 minutes long and worth the time. Even if you think you don't agree with him, open your mind and give it a listen. You may be surprised.

My Garden

Sorry I have not posted in a while, things have been kind of hectic. With our failed nuptials, and school starting it was been overwhelming. I think I went into a depression for a while. Anyway, this is my garden this year. Not much the ground here is terrible. Even with excellent care it is hard. I have just not had the time. I am taking 14 units this semester! Let's see: Chemistry 1, Math 3 - College Algebra, Humanities 5 - Parallel Myths, English 1C - Critical Thinking And Composition, and of course PE, I Love PE!! That's a lot to tackle everyday. I'm doing well so far, so wish me luck!

Did you notice this in the last picture? This is Myrtle. She owns that spot. Why? you may ask. Well if you look underneath her, she is sitting on top of her catnip!! That's her catnip and she LOVES it!

Draco

Isn't Draco cute! We gave him a piece of Cheddar (One of his favorite cheeses!) and I had to take a picture of him. I like the way his little fingers hold things, so cute! His favorite foods are carrots, cantalope, cheez-its, and yogurt treats. He gets them all very often, that must be the reason he is so BIG!
