Let the games begin! My court date is tomorrow. I have waited 18 months for this. I filed my appeal and request for a hearing in October 2005. I filed my original paperwork with Social Security in February of 2005. It has been over 25 months of waiting. I am very nervous. I was talking to James last night and I told him how strange it would be to be approved. I have become so accustomed to my life of poverty, that a change in my status would be strange now. But, I could get used to having an income again. In preparation for this hearing, I have shaved my beard and removed my earrings. You have to look nice. I have hired an attorney and have a mountain of paperwork, medical reports and letters from physicians. I am as ready as I can be. It is all in the hands of the Social Security court. Wish me luck.
